[Haida Art] Special Topic Areas for Peer Support
Peer career support is more than discussions with peers regarding career awareness, career goals, career opportunities, and educational resources. Students may have special needs, concerns, or characteristics, or come from cultural and ethnic backgrounds which will influence their life directions. While not all peer career support workers will encounter emergency situations, they should be familiar with resources to help them deal with various unplanned events.

  • French CBC (Societe Radio-Canada) Youth and Family A Web site specially designed for the 8-12 years old with information on their favorite educational TV shows and other related subjects.
  • Canadian First Nations, and First Nations Issues, are both helpful resources for learning about various First Nations peoples; and
  • First Nations A comprehensive database regarding First Nations with links to aboriginal groups around the world.
