| Mentoring 301: Advanced Mentoring; Enhancing Mentoring Relationships
The purpose of this one-day workshop is to provide an opportunity for experienced mentors to reflect on their practice and explore practical process tools for improving their knowledge and skills.
Mentoring is defined as a reciprocal learning partnership in which the mentor and partner work collaboratively toward achieving mutually defined goals and outcomes. The mentor typically takes the lead to share experience and expertise ot guide the personal, career, and professional growth of the partner.
The partnership may be self-selected, established through a formal matching process, or created under the guidance of a third party.
Participants in this workshop will have an opportunity to reflect on their own practices and roles, identify potential issues and problems and learn how others have solved or managed them, develop their own tailored resolutions, practice and enhance their communication skills, identify their own personal action plans for development as a mentor, and commit to a peer buddy system for accountability and support.
